Welcome to our web site!
This website is for anyone whose
ancestor was a Turrentine or who
married
a Turrentine. Turrentine
has been spelt many ways. We
know that currently at least
four
spellings are derived from the
Turrentines of Orange County,
North Carolina:
Turrrentine, Torrentine,
Turntine, and Terrentine. As we discover
more, we will add them as well.
The Turrentine Family is an inclusive
family. We have intermarried with
many races,
faiths and ethnic groups.
The crest above includes a book
because we seem to share a common
interest
in learning. Schools and buildings
on college and university campuses have
been named for
Turrentines.
The Turrentine name also appears in connection with
churches, either in
the name of the church, as a founder,
minister, elder, trustee, or lay teacher.
