Qualifications:  You must be a Turrentine descendant attending a secondary school in pursuit of an undergraduate degree.
There is no longer any restriction on area of study.

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded in a two year period. (Award is limited to one scholarship per person.)

Proof of enrollment is required to apply and completion of one semester/quarter with a passing grade at the institution of higher learning is required to receive payment.
You may apply before your first semester/quarter.
If selected you will need to send in the required grade report at the end your first semester/quarter in order to receive payment.

The application must be received no later than January 1st for the previous calendar year (i.e., January 1, 2017 for any study completed in 2016).
Attach an essay including research on your Turrentine Family History and your plans for your future.  If you have not yet received your grade report, it may be submitted later.
 
Please include at least 2 letters of recommendation from a minister or teachers.
